Aryuts, Dzntsaghik, Gosablur, Metssayl, Eritsasar
On November 10, 2024, we were in the Ararat region. This time we had planned to climb five peaks at once, and we managed to carry out the plan. We started walking from near the villages of Lanjar and Lusashogh and finished the hike near the village of Urtsalanj. The sky was cloudy, though there was mist in the distance. Despite the mist, Ararat looked very beautiful from its height, as if leaning on the small mountains.
First we climbed Mount Aryuts (Aslanasar), which is 2,157 m high. Here we unexpectedly congratulated Norayr on his birthday, blew out the candles on the festive cake and continued walking toward the other peaks. In great spirits, with cheerful conversations and jokes, we also reached the summits of Mount Dzntsaghik (2,202 m), Gosablur (2,419 m), Metssayl (2,302 m) and Eritsasar (2,149 m). We were in high spirits the whole time; the hike turned out to be a very joyful one. And on the way back, the sun setting toward sunset bathed nature and us in its violet color, while the plowed fields made the twilight beauty even more vivid.
The strong young hikers walked 14 km and covered 700 m of total elevation gain, climbed 5 peaks, saw beautiful landscapes and a sunset, spent a warm and joyful day, got physically stronger, and built up endurance, willpower and self-confidence…
A children’s hike is the best way to build the qualities mentioned above and to get to know the homeland.
