From Tsovagyugh to Gosh Village
Nothing can stand in the way of children: neither winding and difficult trails, nor the thick trees fallen across the path and those dry thorny bushes, nor even the slopes and rivers that sometimes seem impossible to cross. And of course, distance is no obstacle either.
True, the headline sounds a bit grandiose, but if you had walked our Sunday route with us, you would surely agree.
On October 6, 2024, we walked from the Gegharkunik region to the Tavush region, from Tsovagyugh to the village of Gosh. To cover it, we walked a distance of 21.5 km, with 600 m of ascent and 1,500 m of descent.
Sevan was truly blue, the water was a sight to behold, and the waves sparkling in the sun gave the lake a special shine. During one hike we saw three lakes: Sevan, Kakach and the Gosh lake. We walked across the slopes of forest-covered mountains, enjoyed the autumn colors and the scent of the forest, and in the end reached the village of Gosh by lantern light.
The youngest hero of our group of 25 was 7-year-old Lili (in the attached photos, against the background of Lake Kakach, with the backpack her grandfather made in her hands), who walked at the front of the line from start to finish and bravely covered this difficult route.
Say that children are strong …
