Upcoming hikes and camps →As we can see, May is a good time for hiking, but for the second time now we’ve managed to “go dry from the water” …
This Sunday was also full of discoveries. We went to the Sevan waterfalls, which flow down from the Sevan Mountains along the shore of Sevan. Yes, unknown to many, but a familiar destination for hikers. The Sevan trio was impressive. The weather was very mild, with both sun and clouds. When we were about to dry off, a rain cloud would come and take us into its shade. It’s hard to imagine better weather for walking. We even lost track of time and didn’t notice how we reached the waterfall.
Squeezing through the narrow gorge, the water flowed down, splashing, rolling over the slippery stones, and went on toward Lake Sevan. We enjoyed nature. The children cooled their feet in the icy water, we took beautiful souvenir photos and started going back down.
In a beautiful clearing we played games, shared physical exercise ideas and even danced.
We returned to the bus quite lively and in a cheerful mood. It seemed only 10 minutes had passed by the time we were on the road when the sky darkened, the wind picked up and a short but heavy hail began to fall.
And we, pleased with ourselves, continued our way to Yerevan.
This time we walked 9.5 km and covered 450 m of elevation gain.
