The Whispering Waterfall Trail
On April 13 and 14 we were in the Tavush region. On Saturday we climbed Mount Apakekar, and on Sunday we walked the Whispering Waterfall trail. The trail starts from the abandoned railway tracks (accessible via the Dilijan National Park visitor center) and then enters the gorge. In the gorge, reality changes: the sounds of cars coming from the highway are replaced by the chirping of birds.
For the children, this hike was like a dream come true, since we hadn’t had such an easy hike in a long time.
The children decided to light a campfire and did everything needed for it. They separated dry branches from the damp wood, and although we didn’t have kindling, they lit the fire with the help of a flint and a non-working lighter. And if there’s a campfire, it means there are marshmallows too.
On the way back the sky started to protest, as if to say: hurry up, it’s about to rain soon. As soon as we got on the bus, it started to pour.
In a word, we had a pleasant and cheerful hike, which continued on the bus all the way to Yerevan.
The photos are from different hikes.
