Ascent of Mount Astghonk
On June 28, 2026, we will be ascending the second highest peak of the Vardenis Mountains—Mount Astghonk (3,470 m). Mount Astghonk is located in the Gegharkunik region.
Once again, we will reach the foot of Astghonk—an old village site on the mountain—by truck, from where we will begin our ascent to the summit. You will certainly have plenty of beautiful impressions.
Club members and those with hiking experience are welcome to participate in the hike.

How to prepare for the hike
1. Winter hat, as well as a sun hat
2. Sunscreen

4. Long-sleeved top
5. Windbreaker and a medium-weight jacket
6. Sports pants (no jeans)
7. Waterproof shoes with thick soles
8. Gaiters
9. Hiking poles (if you have them)

16. Bag to bring back your trash
