Narine Chagharyan is a lawyer by profession. She is the President of the “4 Peaks Mountain Club” mountaineering development NGO, the Vice President of the Armenian Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism Federation, a lecturer in “Youth Tourism” at the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport, and a mountain rescuer with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. She has completed ice-climbing training courses with UIAA specialists and participated in a mountaineering camp at the Bezengi base in Russia, where she was awarded the “Mountaineer of Russia” badge. Narine has successfully completed ascents of numerous peaks, including Hezar (4501 m), Sabalan (4811 m), Kazbek (5033 m), Yukhin (5124 m), Mount Ararat (5165 m), Elbrus (5642 m), winter and summer ascents of Damavand (5671 m), and Razdelnaya (6148 m). She teaches children a wide range of topics, including the history of mountaineering in Armenia and worldwide, how to prepare for hikes and behave during expeditions, natural hazards and restrictions in the mountains (5 lessons), mountain sickness, team-based tasks, and both theoretical and practical tent setup skills, among others. She also organizes hikes and camps and personally leads and guides groups in the mountains.
