Lusine Aghajanyan is a biologist and the Head of Biodiversity Conservation Programs at the Armenian branch of the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU). She has completed ascents of numerous mountains and mountain ranges, including Mount Aragats, Mount Khustup, the Geghama Range, Mknasar, Gndasar, Mount Ara, Ukhtasar, the Zangezur Range, the Pambak Range, Mount Ararat, Erta Ale, Mount Kazbek, and many others. Through Lusine’s lessons, children gain valuable knowledge about the wildlife of Armenia, including mammals, birds, and reptiles found in natural environments. They learn about the behavior of these animals and, importantly, how people should behave when encountering wildlife in nature. Her educational activities help children develop a deeper understanding of biodiversity, environmental responsibility, and respectful interaction with the natural world.
