The 4 Peaks mountain club is usually known for its mountain hikes, but this time our path was a little different. It was June 1, International Children’s Day. We decided to make the day memorable, not by climbing heights, but by diving deep into the pure, carefree world of childhood.

Our destination was the “Mer Lernery” (Our Mountains) camp in the village of Gosh. In the embrace of nature, among giant mountains and green fields, the children found a place where they could simply be happy.

In the field, a real festival of games began:

  • Rope throwing competitions,
  • Challenges of passing through hoops and keeping your balance,
  • Team games built on passing sticks and cooperation,
  • A game of throwing a stake into a rope, which requires speed and skill,
  • And, of course, football, which is a must every time we get together.

Some were carried away picking pinecones, some were studying the tiny world of nature, and another group was playing a focused board game: looking for victory, but finding a wonderful friendship.

At the end of the day, we all gathered in the open field with colorful balloons. Every balloon was a dream, a memory, a piece of happiness. We will probably keep the photo we took at that moment in our hearts for a long time. The photo seems to say: “Memories are made here that will keep coming back with a smile for years.”

This wasn’t the club’s usual hike. It was a hike to childhood:
to happiness, play, freedom and a pure space.
