Ascent of Mount Aragats: South and West Summits
On July 19, 2026, we will climb the South (3887m) and West (3995m) summits of Mount Aragats. We will start the ascent near Lake Kari and finish there as well. Children who are feeling well will continue to the West Summit, while others will begin their descent back to Lake Kari with one of the guides. This ascent is open to children who have participated in the acclimatization program and are members of the club.

- Elevation gain: 900 m
How to prepare for the hike:
1. Hat, including a sun hat,
2. Sunscreen,
3. Sunglasses,
4. Wear a thin long-sleeved top,
5. Jacket and a windbreaker,
6. Wear sports pants (no jeans),
7. Shoes with thick soles, preferably waterproof,
8. Raincoat,
9. Gaiters (optional),
10. Hiking poles, if you have them,
11. 1.5L of water,
12. Food,
13. Change of shoes and socks,
14. Pack everything in a backpack,
15. A bag for your own trash (candy wrappers, empty tissue boxes, used wet wipes).
