Magel Cave

On July 4, 2026, we are going to Magel Cave, which is the second largest in Armenia and belongs to the clastokarst cave type (formed in conglomerates). It is the 9th longest of its kind in the world.
The total network of the cave is 1,720 m.

The air temperature in the cave is a constant 7-8°C, regardless of the weather outside.
During the visit, we will follow a specially developed route of about 350 m, which includes narrow passages with low ceilings (0.4-0.5 m high).
The duration depends on the size and preparation of the group: 1-3 hours.

If there are many participants, we will enter the cave in small groups rather than all at once.

ATTENTION

Children and adults with the following are prohibited from participating in the hike:
• claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)

Cave specialists will accompany us that day.

How to prepare for the hike

Wear long-sleeved clothing (mandatory) that you don’t mind getting damaged or dusty.
Bring a change of clothes (to change into after leaving the cave).
Raincoat
Water: 1.5 liters
Food
A bag for bringing back your trash (candy wrappers, empty tissue boxes, used wet wipes).

Put all these items in a backpack (except for the change of clothes and shoes).

16,000 AMD for children
17,000 AMD for adults (including the cave entrance fee)
